Rock Creek Click to Enlarge Rock Face Click to Enlarge Introduction Rock Creek Nature Preserve protects eighty acres in Warren County. Rock Creek is a small tributary of the Wabash River. Trails A long-stemmed lollipop trail leads from the parking area into the woods. The trees, including buckeye, beech, maple, and cherry, are of recent vintage, but there are plenty of spring wildflowers – snow trillium early on, soon followed by May apple, jack-in-the-pulpit, prairie trillium, and fringed phacelia. The trail turns right and descends to Rock Creek, a small but scenic tributary of the Wabash. You’ll follow the creek through more mature woods, past areas when the water has carved low rock overhangs along its course, before heading back up toward the parking area. Facilities None.
