Introduction
Kemil Beach marks the eastern boundary of Indiana Dunes State Park; to get to the shore walk a few hundred yards north of the parking area along road 300 East.
Trails
The Dune Ridge Trail begins in the southeast corner of the parking area; it’s a short (0.6 mile) loop that passes through several habitat types, including foredunes, oak savanna forest, and wetlands. There is an observation platform, but the trees that now press in close around it have long since blocked any views it once afforded.
Facilities
Bathrooms, with flush toilets.
