Outdoors: Fort Harrison State Park

Trail Click to Enlarge Fall Creek Click to Enlarge Introduction Fort Harrison State Park is a relatively new State Park. There is an entrance fee. Trails There are several trails, but the Fall Creek Trail gets my vote as the best. It begins at the northeast corner of the Delaware Lake parking area and follows Fall Creek upstream, passing through bottom land rich in spring wildflowers. At one point, it passes over a boardwalk and observation deck, and then begins climbing before turning south and connecting with the Camp Creek Trail, which will take you back toward your origin. Along the way, it passes a pond with lily pads and goes through nice woods. The Lawrence Creek Trail is a pleasant two-mile lollipop through recent woods, but neighboring houses are too close for my taste. Facilities Bathrooms, water, inn.
