Introduction

County Road 1100 West divides Bluhm County Park. The bulk of the park is west of 1100W; it contains several structures and about six miles of trails, used mostly by cyclists. A much shorter hiking trail is east of 1100 West.

Trails

From 1100 West, a paved path heads east, with woods to the left and a farm field to the right. On reaching the southeast corner of park, the trail turns north, skirts the edge of a pond, and enters a fine wood. The open understory hosts plenty of low groundcover and wildflowers in spring. Unpaved trails connect at various points with the main trail; the latter eventually loops back toward its starting point.

Facilities

Restrooms, shelters, playground.
