Location: Northwestern Indiana, bordered on the north by Jasper and Pulaski counties, to the east by Carroll and Cass counties, to the south by Tippecanoe County, and to the west by Benton County.

Population: 25,267 (2000 Census)

Cities & Towns: Monticello (county seat, 5,723, 110th largest city in the State); Monon (1,733), Brookston (1,717), Wolcott (989), Reynolds (547), Chalmers (513), Burnettsville (373)

Named For: Colonel Isaac White, who died at the Battle of Tippecanoe.
