Pokagon State Park
Steuben County is located in extreme northeastern Indiana, bordered on the north by Michigan, to the east by Ohio, to the south by DeKalb County, and to the west by Lagrange County.

It has an area of 309 square miles and during the 2000 Census had 33,214 residents.

Angola (2000 Census population of 7,344) is both the largest city in Steuben County and the County Seat.

Other cities and towns include Fremont (1,696), Hamilton (1,233), Hudson (596), Orland (341), and Clear Lake (244).

The county was named for General Friedrich von Steuben of the Revolutionary War.
