Kosciusko County is located in northern Indiana, bordered on the north by Elkhart County, to the east by Noble and Whitley counties, to the south by Fulton and Wabash counties, and to the west by Fulton and Marshall counties.
It has an area of 538 square miles and during the 2000 Census had 74,057 residents.
Warsaw (2000 Census population of 12,415) is both the largest city in Kosciusko County and the County Seat.
Other cities and towns include Winona Lake (3,987), Syracuse (3,038), Milford (1,550), Mentone (898), Pierceton (695), Etna Green (663), Leesburg (625), Silver Lake (546), Claypool (311).
The county was named for Thaddeus Kosciusko, a Polish general who fought for the colonies during the American Revolution..
