Huntington County is located in northeastern Indiana, bordered on the north by Whitley County, to the northeast by Allen County, to the east by Wells County, to the south by Grant County, and to the west by Wabash County.
It has an area of 383 square miles and during the 2000 Census had 38,075 residents.
Huntington (2000 Census population of 17,450) is both the largest city in Huntington County and the County Seat.
Other cities and towns include Roanoke (1,495), Andrews (1,290), and Warren (1,272).
The county was named for Samuel Huntington, a signer of the Declaration of Independence.
