    Counties: Cass County Indiana


Cass County is located in north central Indiana, bordered on the northwest by Pulaski County, to the north by Fulton County, to the east by Miami County, to the south by Carroll and Howard counties, and to the west by White County.

It has an area of 413 square miles and during the 2000 Census had 40,930 residents.

Logansport (2000 Census population of 19,684) is both the largest city in Cass County and the County Seat.

Other cities and towns include Galveston (1,532), Walton (1,069), Royal Center (832), and Onward (81).

The county was named for Lewis Cass, a General and Governor of Michigan.
