Cities: Goodland Goodland Goodland (2000 population = 1,096) is in Grant Township, in the southeastern corner of Newton County. US Highway 24 and a railroad run east-west through Goodland, and Indiana Highway 55 runs north-south about a mile west of town. The town was laid out in 1861.
