Thanks for your interest in sharing a photo on the CyberIndiana site. You are invited to a share a favorite photo of something that's already represented on the site, or something new. Either way, there are certain basic requirements you'll need to meet:
- You must own the rights to the image. Generally this means that you were the photographer that captured the image. If I find out this is not the case, the image will be removed, whether or not someone complains.
- You must be willing to allow the image to appear on CyberIndiana.
- The subject must be something in Indiana - building, scenery, etc.
Beyond that, there are a few other things to keep in mind:
- You retain the rights to the image. If you later decide you want it taken down, just let me know. I should be able to comply pretty quickly, usually within a few days.
- If accepted for inclusion on the site, it will appear with the notation ©YEAR by YOUR NAME. Used by Permission. In order to do this I'll need your name and a year that the image was captured (more or less). You can propose another credit line if you wish, and it can include a link to your own website.
- The preferred image width is 480 pixels or less. That's so that it fits in the page template. I can crop images if necessary, but that may result in some loss of image quality.
- Please feel free to include explanatory text with your image - what, when, where, interesting facts about the subject, etc.
Finally, if all of this hasn't scared you away, thanks for your interest in sharing a photo. If you'd still like to send one in, please click here and attach your image. Be sure to identify the subject and provide your name for proper credit. This is not an automated process, so you may have to wait a bit for your image to appear.
